Motivational Torso

"Being a tall girl all my life, it was really tough to find clothing that matched my style. If a clothing item fitted me, it was basic, simple and not in alignment with what I desired which was streetwear/graphic and outstanding clothing. Growing up, I felt very left out in my classrooms and my friend groups in terms of height and gender. I was the tallest girl in my classrooms and friend groups. When it came to clothing, the very well-known clothing brands rarely had tall sections. Most tall women can relate to that experience. I often compromised by going to the men's section or going a few sizes up and then getting the item tailored." Founder Miranda T.

No tall woman should conform to clothing that makes her feel uncomfortable. The fact that tall women’s clothing is hard to come by creates insecurity. Reach as many tall girls and women as possible and make them feel like a part of Torso. Also, make them feel comfortable in what they’re wearing, wherever they go. Torso hopes to check all the tall girl needs fashion-wise and gain recognition worldwide by 2035. Sustainability is the brand’s foundation. From fulfilment to shipping, Torso thrives to be eco eco-friendly. When packing your order we make sure to include 0 single use plastics. Did you know that Every time a synthetic garment is washed, it releases tiny plastic microfibers into the water? Up to 500,000 tons of microfibers end up in the ocean every year. Synthetic garments can consist of polyester, nylon and/ or acrylic. At Torso, we call them the 3 musty materials to avoid. The lack of streetwear items for tall women in mainstream fashion brands was a key driver in the creation of Torso. Although streetwear outfits is an ongoing trend, it does not always equate to comfort, therefore TORSO makes sure comfort is in every clothing piece by using sustainable material blends in majority of its garments.
